Kancho Hagen Baer is the founder of Kyokushindo — a modern martial arts system that combines the best of traditional Karate techniques with contemporary practical combat methods. He began his martial arts journey in 1980 and founded the International Kyokushindo Organisation (IKO) in 2007.

Holding a 9th Dan Black Belt, he has dedicated his life to developing a comprehensive combat system that serves both military professionals and civilians. Under his leadership, Kyokushindo has spread to over 21 countries worldwide.

The Kyokushindo philosophy — 'The Way of Absolute Truth' — reflects Kancho Baer's belief that martial arts must be practical, effective, and applicable in real-life situations.
